ButterKnife is a Java library that simplifies the process of binding views to fields and methods in Android activities and fragments. It helps reduce boilerplate code that can be time-consuming and error-prone. ButterKnife has two main components: View binding and Listener binding.

In the code above, we bind a TextView using @BindView and set its text to “Hello ButterKnife”.

Listener binding allows you to bind listeners (like OnClickListener) to methods in your Java classes using the @OnClick annotation. This is an effective way to simplify the code for handling user interactions.

In the code above, we bind a Button using @BindView and bind an OnClickListener to the onButtonClick() method using @OnClick. When the button is clicked, a toast message is shown.

To unbind views and listeners when they are no longer needed, ButterKnife provides the unbind() method. This should be called in your onPause() or onDestroy() method to prevent memory leaks.
