Synpathy is a tool for manual syntactical annotation orginally developed by the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics (https://tla.mpi.nl/tools/tla-tools/older-tools/synpathy/).
This repository contains improvements and bugfixes starting with version 1.0.1 the latest version available from MPI (http://www.mpi.nl/tools/synpathy/synpathy-1.0.1-src.tar.gz).

Synpathy is Java-based and runs on any system that has Java (1.4 or later) installed. If Java is not installed on your system, please download it from www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/ or http://openjdk.java.net/.
To run Synpathy, just download the latest release from https://github.com/fab-bar/Synpathy/releases/latest and extract the archive. On most systems, double-clicking synpathy.jar will start Synpathy. Alternatively, run Synpathy from the command-line with
java -jar synpathy.jar
