Inventory for Composable Elements (ICE) is being developed by the Joint Bio Energy Institute as an open source Registry software for biological parts. It is a web application and software platform that can be used by laboratories to track and search their constructs. It can be run as a stand-alone server software, or can be used as an application programming interface (SOAP API) to build other software tools to manipulate biological parts.
