# Gesture Remote
VLC Gesture Remote Control for Android

## Introduction
This project is part of an assignment for *Interactive Multimedia Systems* at the [*Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin*](http://www.beuth-hochschule.de/).

## Installation

### Requirements
#### Building
- Java 1.6 or higher
- Android SDK 2.3.3 or higher

#### Running
- Android 2.3.3 or higher

### Installation

#### Mobile Application

Alternative 1:

Add the project to your preferred IDE (IntelliJ, Eclipse, …) set the compile and deploy destination to your plugged-in smartphone. Build and deploy the project.

Alternative 2:
Copy the app file to your smartphone and install it there,

#### VLC
Start your VLC Media Player with the parameter sequence –extraintf=http
