Important git commands

git status lists the current status of the working directory
git branch lists all local branches and highlights the currently selected one
git add <path/to/some/file/or/folder> adds the file(s) to the staging area, preparing them to be committed
git commit -m "<your message here>" commits all previously staged files (using git add)
git push pushes the current branch to the remote server
git pull pulls down all changes of the current branch to the local repository
