"Svnit Events" is one attempt to provide maximum information about festivals and events at NIT Surat and to attract more participants and make their experience hassle free. Information about organising committee, location, time, rules, registration link, format about a particular event is provided in just two swipes and if that is not enough push notifications are always there to notify you with special information.

Svnit Events also captures live twitter stream with tweets containing hashtag "#svnitevents" and allows to tweet from the app if user has installed application "Twitter" by Twitter, Inc.

Svnit Events also incorporates built in chat engine to make community experience more intense. People can chat about events and post useful information as well as images for an ongoing event.

There are three main sections of the app, a list of people, the schedule and a live tweet stream.
