#openMAXIMS functionality

The latest generation of our full MAXIMS suite has become openMAXIMS, our first open source software product. It has the same rich functionality and currently includes:

A full Patient Administration System designed for the NHS, including support for:

• NHS e-Referral Service (Full rollout approval from HSCIC)
• Commissioning Data Sets
• Referral To Treatment management (RTT)
• Graphical Bed Management
• Outpatient Appointment Management
• CQUIN targets

An Electronic Patient Record including:

• Order Communications and Results Reporting
• Integrated Care Pathways
• Observations and Notes
• Emergency Department (A&E) including Tracking
• Clinical Assessments
• Clinical specialties (e.g. Oncology, Spinal Cord Injuries, etc.)
• eDischarge process

HL7 interfaces (bi-directional) and open APIs for comprehensive integration with third-party systems

#openMAXIMS release 10.5

This is the version that is live at Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust. It adds a number of new features including:

• Clinical Triage of Referrals - Patients directed to the appropriate service and care according to clinical priority
• Elective List Management - Inpatient Waiting List and TCI management integrate with e-Referral Service, RTT management and enterprise-wide scheduling
• Theatres - Pre-Operative Assessment – ensuring patients are fit and suitable for surgery
• Appointment Outcome - Workflows and actions based on appointment status and RTT
• Clinical Coding - Worklists based on various coding status points – In-Progress, For Review, Coded, Uncoded, etc

...as well as many other enhancements to Casenote Tracking, Waiting Lists, Scheduling, Inpatients, TCI, Auto-cancellation, SOAP, Discharge, Theatres, Therapies, Ward View, Deceased, Demographics, Worlists, Emergency Department, Outpatients, Medical worklist, Contracts, RTT, Elective lists, Bed Management, Configuration, Pre-assessments, Dementia, HL7 messaging, Ward transfers, Referrals, Secure LDAP, Observations, Ambulance Handover, etc.
